(Home) Auto box, transfer box, & differentials oil changes

just repaired my rad, what a job that is to get out!!
anyway, oil in heat exchanger is black so might change it before we take her down to devon, (from merseyside). no apparent probs, but a long way to go if i get stuck! i've read ace answers, but can't see how much oil is required, or if there is an easier way than pouring it down dipstick hole, surely that can't be right?
also, any recommendations for type/quantity of oil in front/rear diffs?
thanks, ed.

Autobox, yup down the dipstick tube, a bit at a time until correct. Tube and funnel help... It's about 3l for a change, total is 6.5, but the converter doesn't drain. Do it twice, a few days apart if the ATF looks bad. A gallon isn't dear at the factors...
Diffs, about 1.2/ 1.5l each. Book says 80w/90 GL5.
transfer case- two schools of thought. Some books say GL5, some say ATF
I've split the difference by using 75/90 synthetic in all three. It's as thin as ATF but protects like hypoid90. Better for economy, but dear to buy...

thanks david!
didn't think about transfer case, (new to 4wd). i take it this is the box directly behind gearbox? does it fill in the conventional way, i.e. a plug, or is this as weird as the gearbox?
thanks again.
eddie.

24mm filler and drain, just like the diffs...
