(Home) Binding rear brake

Hello a brief couple of snippets of info needed.

1/ Failed MOT on emissions, can anybody recommend a diesel specialist / garage in the North Kent area that can tamper with my fuel pump to a pass standard.

2/ Has anybody got any part numbers for a spring kit for the rear brakes of a CR21 model 1990 Masterace Surf. It failed on a binding rear brake that I changed the shoes on last month and I think the springs have weakened.

Thank-you

I make it to be 90506 23375 for the small spring and 90506 23346 for the small one. Nothing about a kit.
However, before going down that route, I can't say as I've ever heard of anyone having to replace a weak return spring. Check the following
correct fitting of springs, self adjuster mechanism working properly when handbrake pulled, initial adjustment of shoes doesn't have the drums binding wwhen spinning. If there isn't a diagram of the brakes on AceAnswers let me know and I'll send you one.

Doh! Sorry that should be 90506 23375 for the large spring and 90506 23346 for the small.

Not only can I not read (earlier thread), I can't type coherently either!

Thanks for the speedy reply Ian. One of the fitters at work suggested it may be a corroded cylinder not returning properly and I must admit they were pretty stiff last week when I changed the shoes. A further strip down of that wheel should solve that half of the problem leaving the emissions question.
