(Home) Light relief

Just to make a change from Townie trouble, you may care to have a look at this Italian site (best with a Shockwave-enabled browser and fairly fast internet connection).

I just wanted to see what that 'optional image URL" box did. Now I know. Sorry about the huge banner. Don't think I can remove it, but I hereby give Mark full permission to trash that message if it's slowing things down too much.

It's given me a few ideas though...

We also see that anything in the "Optional Link URL" box disappears as soon as there is another posting - so, Steve, unless we got it in the 14 mins it took David to reply, we need you to tell us the Italian URL again - within the Message box this time.

i can't possibly comment as i'm from london, just happen to live in bristol, now what were you saying about london drivers..........

- (#5576) clive, 18 Sep 02

Live in London, drive in London as part of my job, God what a nightmare, having said that, drie inn Swindon, Reading, Chippenham, Bristol etc for my job as well and all te City centres are as bad now, looney drivers pulling out in front of you etc. But also having driven in Italy several times, you just have to drive like they do or else you'll never get out of a juction, also why do they bother painting zebra crossings on the road in Italy, if you're crossing they all just speed up towards you, so you still have to run across the road, waste of time if you ask me. Rob.

The craziest drivers have to be in Moscow and the reason being is there is no fear of a fine. Just drive however you want and if the police stop you you just give him 100 rubles ( $3.50 ), he puts it in his pocket and you keep driving. When I moved here I could not believ the way people drive. For the most part there are no lines on the road and people make 10 lanes out of a four lane road. Everybody drives on the sidewalk. And if the lane you are driving in is experiencing a slow down, just jump into the lane with oncoming traffic and flash you lights and blow you horn as if you were in the right lane and all the other cars were in the wrong lane. Moscow has to be the only city where you can get hit from behind driving illegally in the wrong lane into oncoming traffic. I could write a book about driving in Moscow. The result is, auto wrecks all the time.
