Many thanks for replies to my original request for advice concerning Townace cylinder head failure.

Can any one advise me as to whether a 2CT engine from a Carina can be used as a straight swap as a complete engine? Would it have a turbo, and if not, can the original be fitted?

You should really have started a new thread here, but anyway, the clue is in the question, if it's a 2CT engine then it is turbo ence the T, if it's naturally aspirated then it will be a 2C engine. No it isn't a straight swap, but it can be done, different mountings, anscillaries, and depends on the gearbox fitted. HTH Rob.
