(Home) Tyre sizes + new owner questions (Sp+)

Hello great site, just bought an old space cruiser very cheap at an auction so I need some info about it please.
Its an A reg 1984 with the 1.8 2Y engine.
Before you laugh give it a couple of years and you'l be saying "Ah yes, the old Mk1........should never of got rid of mine".
Having read your site and looked at the temp gauge I'm busy flushing the system and about to buy a new rad cap.
My question is this, it has alloy wheels fitted with 175 80 14 (blod) tyres, will 185 80 14 fit in the space provied or do I need to lower the profile?
Does the windscreen washer use the same bottle as the rear one as I can't find one for the front.

I thank you in advance for any help you can be from a newly converted fan of a whole weeks standing.

Dave.

Yes I have fond memories of my simple old specy but it had to go.
Are they the standard Toyota wheels (pic of my Townace on Townace Nutters UK) do you have a tyre size/inflation chart on drivers door frame - they will help with part of the question? The usual of checking nothing rubs/fouls the body work and see what fits. Keep in mind that they are hard on front tyres.
Yes same water bottle.
Happy cruising, any questions you know where to post.

Thanks for the info Clive. I've no idea if they are standard, a friend of mine said they might be Celica wheels. Nothing like yours, I have put some pics up for all to see.
Overheating, a quick blast down the duel carridgeway for 10 mins had the gauage upto 3/4, on the way back I had the lid up and although the fan worked all the way to 80 (downhill) it didn't seam to be making a lot of noise. When I first startup you can hear they fan really whistleing but going quite after about a mile, coupling on the way out?
Can I fit an electric fan in front of the rad and leave the main fan in place?
Thanks again for the info and great site.

My old Space was the same spec as yours. I fitted standard 185/14s to mine with plenty of room left so low profiles should fit no problem. As for a fan on the front of the rad - I think you might be struggling for room.
