It only cost me £2.00........for both days...
If you show your car...sorry Townie.. you can get in as a car club as I did.....

is there anyone out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

let's try to get 2003 ace-jam on the planning table ??

any idears for meetings ?????????????

august (first weekend ) woodvale rally ????
there is a dead line to enter with it only costing last year £2.00 per townie for both days..

regards to all this christmas time......
don't forget to buy your townace a gift !!

Hello Paul,

From my own personal opinion, my townace is nothing to write home about and certainly not up to a showing standard. I wouldn't particularly feel confident in entering my vehicle into some kind of show. All I would be after is a chance to meet up with other owners and have a bit of a chin wag.

I'd be able to make it this year, my overheating problems having been cured with the viscous coupling replaced, thanks Ian. I would also like the opportunity to bring the family so some facilities would be a big advantage.

Woodvale 2003.Aug.....

yes it is a show but........there are many car clubs who's members car are not in show cond'....
This is not the point of the show....

People travel from all over for the show, cars/lorry/buses/van/bike (pedal& motor)steam engines/tanks ETC ETC

Woodvale has been going for a long time as a model airplane show & has grown from there....
The thing is it only costs £2.00 per car for the weekend. And you can camp on site ( limited services )or there are touring sites not to far away.....

Ask Ray Ambler...he knows it well.?

regards for now. I have last years programme..I'll try & get it scanned & put on

hi i went to woodvale last year, always go for the aicraft rally, but could not find a large number of townaces, i did get a windscren posting for the townace site though, i was parked in the disabled section.

alternatively you could consider the southport air show in september, there is a large field behind the fair.

We were in one of the 3 townies on show last year ant woodvale. £2.00 to get our townie and five passengers into the show.

It was worth entering just to get into the event at that price! Loads to do for us and our 3 teenage kids. If we had known how much there was going on there we would have arranged to be there for both days. The saturday just wasnt long enough.

It was also great to meet up with other Townie owners.
If its on again this year, we will definitely be joining the crowd (Hopefully). There was one guy who had travelled up from somewhere down south and was disappointed to find only 3 Townaces. Let's make sure no one is disappointed this year.

All the best
Colin and Karen.

I had intended to host an AceJam near to Blackpool. The Woodvale Jam looks like it will go ahead so I’ve changed to a site local to me. Warren Farm Holiday Park, Brean Sands, Nr. Burnham-on-sea, Somerset. Web site www.warren-farm.co.uk . The weekend 17th/18th May looks the best for the sites Rally Field No 3. Tents, caravan and sleeping in vans will be all together. Electric hook ups and a nice utility block. Prices per night per unit £5.50 plus £2.00 for electric if required, this goes down to £4.00 + £1.00 if 10 or more turn up, and even less for 25+ and 51+. Have a look at the web site and e-mail me direct if you are interested.

good luck in your ace meeting....
it is to far for me to travel..

I booked space for ten on 16, 17, 18 and 19 May. Price per night is the same if you stay one or four nights. Ignore the blurb on the Website - there are no extra costs for additional people, dogs, tents and vans etc. , it is a flat rally rate per vehicle.
Yes any form of Toyota import MPV are welcome.
I have three definites so far.

- (#7005) Clive, 1 Feb 03

Major bummer! Much as I'd like to be there, I'm committed to a trip to the wilds of Scotland (Scoraig, near Ullapool) to learn how to build wind turbines! Runs 17-24 May and as I'll probably take at least two days to get there, the Jam weekend is out for me.

Hope you all have a great time anyway - I'll be thinking of you!

- (#7052) SteveFE, 5 Feb 03

Hi

You can put me down for a definite!!! So far there's 2 of us, but there might be 6. What do we do now? Do we pay you, or direct to Brean Sands?

Also, is it worth advertising this in our local Newspapers? There's quite a few Townaces running around Newport, but nobody seems to be writing to this Site from around here. Perhaps it's a good opportunity to let people know of this Site and to have a Great Get-Together!

It would be good for people from here, as it is only 50 miles away and about 1 hour's drive.

Just turn up. The cost is per vehicle/pitch, not how many bodies you have in it, and pay me on the day(s) no need to book with Brean Sands, I'm registered as co-ordinator and burser.
I feel the Jam is more for us who visit this and sister site's. Be there or be square window advert and notice under wiper blades was tried before with no luck, so I don't propose it myself. Feel free to have a go yourself and advertise these site but not my e-mail address please. If anyone is interested they can logon and then contact me.
Should exceed 10 on the Sat night which I think will qualify for the cheaper rate.
Must remember to get some tent pegs!

- (#7441) Clive, 28 Feb 03

Count me and my tribe in for the Friday and Saturday.

So that'll be two Adults(well the wife is one and technically I count as one although not if you listen to her) and the six kids. Will there be plenty of room for a largish tent?

We are looking forward to getting together with some other townie owners and getting some of that knowledge first hand rather than over the net.

See you all there.
Tony, Teresa, Christian(14), Danny(12), Suzie(10), Jack(8), Sam (3) and Emma-Lea(18mths)

- (#7671) Tony, 10 Mar 03

Yes large flat sites, and as we have half of a large field to use at the moment who cares if you use two pitches? I have a large tent myself.
See you there.
