Master ace manual 4x4 which I purchased with an air con clutch cooked and have managed to cook a couple more, lucky I have a good friend at the local wreckers.
Above the glove box relay control Part No 077200-0590 the blue and black wire from this unit the voltage rises and falls with engine revs and at high revs 3,500 the air con clutch chatters due to low current. If I ground the blue and black wire clutch stops chattering and current okay.
Has any body any experience or info on what I have disconected, the air con works okay but seems to cycle a lot gas etc is all okay.

blue and black (according to my diagrams) is the feed to the idle-up solenoid valve. It also goes the the EFI computer on petrol models, not sure about diesels.
Might be connected to the emmisions computer, if you've got one...
Is the tacho working OK? Some toyotas sense rpms, and cut the a/c clutch if the idle gets too low.
Either way, if grounding the wire helps and no fuses are blowing, go with it...

Thanks Dave
The revcounter and the idle up works okay because the current goes up and down with revs I suspect it is connected to the rev counter and as you say would cut the compressor if revs to low, if this has a fault it would explain the compressor voltage fluctuating with high revs, as it is going okay I will probably leave it alone unless somebody comes up with more info
Thanks again
