Its time to service my '93 Liteace again, I went the my local motor factor for filters etc and they quoted me £15 for an oil filter! They used to supply blue print parts and the last one was no where near this price. any ideas where to get reasonably priced parts in the Bournemouth area?

But the Oil Filter is quite pricy in any make, th pre '87 models have a retail on he oil filter of about £7 + vat, the post '87 models have oil coolers & a different filter, which indeed has a price tag of around £14 + vat. HTH Rob.

like Rob D says, plus the price can vary quite a bit depending on which wholesaler the factor buys from...
My local factor seems to buy filters from a couple of different sources over the year, and the price goes up and down...

CAF buy direct from ADL, so the price is the price is the price, but you are right in the case of smaller factors, as we are the biggest independant factor in the country we can always buy direct from the manufacturers. In the case of the ADL unit the price is £14 + VAT, and there ain't nothing we can do about it, except use maybe a cheaper alternative such as MANN filters. HTH Rob.

do you know it amazes me how much prices differ
i got quated £18 from one
£16 from another ,,,, £10 from the third
and i got it for £6 from the fourth i didnt check the price for the fuel filter but paid £8 from the same shop as the oil filter,, ooooh makes your blood boil
