(Home) Turbo pipe

Can any bdy tell me if the oil feed and return pipes fitted to the base of the ct12 turbo are seperate? they apppear to be part of th same mounting flange on the turbo but my toyota dealer tells me the pipes are available seperately. The smaller one of the two has split when I refitted the turbo (due to trying to do it with one arm in plaster)
Any ideas folks?

The supply line, a flexy hose, comes from under the alternator. This screws onto a fitting which is part of the turbo flange, but is at the front of the turbo, to the outside of the turbing housing.
p/no 90923- 02098 looks favorite for the flexy...

It isn't the flexy hose that appears to be leaking but it looks to be a small pipe (similar size to a brake pipe) under the turbo is a flange with two pipes coming from it, one is approx 1/2 inch dia connected to a rubber hose that feeds into the side of the sump, the other (smaller one) bends back under the turbo and is connected to a banjo union that is on a flexi hose, the toyota dealer tells me this small pipe is a seperate part that screws in to the flange.

Steve,
I had mine replaced about 7 months ago.
The complete unit. Price I will find out for you.
Not a very easy job to do.
As David has said under the alternator is hard.
Bolts very tight. phil

from the engine to the union on the front of the turbo is one pipe/ hose, then the inlet/ outlet flange under the turbo, that the rubber return "u bend" slips on to, is another.
i think both you and the dealer are correct- the flange and the hose are seperate, but connected. and the flange has both hard pipes on it. (the bendy return one behind the oil filter, and the feed that bolts to the front of the turbine)
btw, it seems to be normal for the union between the "brake pipe" from under the turbo and it's flexy from under the alternator to be oozy and leaky- both ends of the flexy have crimps on that slacken over time, leading to a free rotating joint. however, as soon as oil pressure builds up, they seal up...

if it's the flange assy you need, find out how much it is at the dealers, and let me know if you'd be happy with a secondhand one a bit cheaper ;-)

Dave it appears after closer inspection that the leak is coming from the smaller pipe where it is joined to th flange, Toyota tell me it does not appear to be on the stock list so would have to order it. Going to a breakers in Featherstone on Wednesday as he advertised that he is breaking Townies in th Yorkshire Auto trader, He wants £15 for it so that doesen't seem to bad. Will let you know how i get on
