I have a 1991 Toyota Townace Royal Lounge 2ltr Turbo Diesel Automatic 4WD. Started my townie up today and sounds like a motorboat, seems to be coming from around the middle pipe. I live in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne area and just wondered if anybody knows of anywhere in the area that deals in exhausts for this model. Also can anybody give me a rough idea what it should cost me for a full system. I have been reading some of the postings on this site and I too am thinking of buying a stainless steel exhaust.

Dave, I have used Powerflow Exhausts (so have others who post on this site) and I have been very pleased with my stainless steel system. My vehicle is a Masterace 4WD TD so, the ex system will be the same as yours. I did not have the downpipe, from the turbo to the flexible joint replaced. This is a substantial piece of pipe and was perfectly OK. I had the two silencer boxes, the interconnecting pipe, and all the brackets etc, cost £220. It comes with a lifetime guarantee, subject to an annual check by the Powerflow agent who fitted it. Powerflow list an agent in Newcastle, ie "Tyre Spot" Tel 01912745900. The "Agents" usually operate the Powerflow franchise from a tyre or exhaust centre and seem to be independant of the operating Company.
