i have a 1986 spacecruiser model f; manual petrol 3y carb.
i am only getting 160 miles to a tank full, choke seems to be set up ok and comes off, idle speed was at 900 which I have lowered to 750, it returns good mileage on a good motorway run though, any pointers?
when i start up from cold 3 warning lamps glow dimmly for a few minutes then go out (charge, oil, water)
also heaters are very poor
any help would be great thanks

Martin, three lights - alternator - check belt tension, if ok get the alternator checked.
More info required for the other questions.
Lots of short cold starts? Had it tuned recently?
Heating the same in the back?
