I am taking possession of a Lite Ace that currently doesn't run and am trying to arrange how to transport it from Scotland to Swindon. Can anyone advise approx. length and weight in order to calculate if I can use a car & trailer or if I must hire a transporter?

Also, trouble seems to be in the engine area (details unclear at present.) Can anyone recommend a garage in/near Swindon that has Town Ace / Lite Ace experience? I saw in one of the posted messages a garage mentioned in Bristol however wondered if there was one a bit closer. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Liteace, is no longer or wider than your average saloon, obviously higher, around 6ft 6ins, or slightly less for a Liteace (Smaller bodyshell than Townace) still weighs in at a fairly hefty 1600 Kgs or so though, possibly slightly lighter for the Liteace. So you will need a substattial trailer & a good towing vehicle to travel down that far. If it is engine trouble, then it is most likely to be head gasket related, and I can't help you on garages in your area, but I dare say that another contributor to this site can help you there.
