Hello friends, the light came on to say the expansion tank was empty, I looked in it and it was, so I filled it up and the light still stoped on,I had a phone call form John, I then realised I had put to much water in, I filled it right up to the top, so I got a pipe and sucked some out to the full level on the exp tank, john had told me about.. the light still on so I went from Newtown to caersws 12 mileish round trip light still on took the rad cap off with the motor running relife it aint the head gasket no water blowing out, thank the Lord..this was yesterday. Today took the children to school took the good lady shoping running around here and there all day the water now seem to be stable stoping at the same level. but the light is still on on the dash so I looked for the wires coming from the expansion tank I unpluged them no power now to the exp tank but the light is still on so do I just take the bulb out now or is there some other way..thank you all for your HELP so far.....I married a french lady (Annick) and I go back and forth 2 or 3 times a year this is the first ecup in many many happy hours of motoring you know when I got married 28 yrs ago my inlaws promised me 4 acers and a cow you know I'm still waiting for the 4 acers.. Sounds like you have a chafed wire somewhere, that is throwing up the light, no matter what the switch, or even lack of it when you unplug it, is doing, so you'd need to check the wiring back to the dash from the sensor in the tank to see where the damaged wire is. The light is only controlled by the tank switch. Silly question, but I assume that you are talking about the light that looks a little like a colloseum? HTH Rob.

Ace Answers "Dashboard & electrics" folder now has a captioned picture of that row of warning lights. Hope that helps with identification.
