(Home) Bodywork dimensions / IOW ferries

Hi All

anyone know the length /height specs of a 1991 townace super extra (moonroof). We're going to IOW for weekend next Thurs and need specs for ferry crossing. I think they'll charge us for "car" rates but want to know the specs.

Thanks

Just tell Wightlink it's the same size as a Land Rover Discovery, they will make sure you're on the lower deck (More headroom) but shouldn't charge any more, they just need to know it's over height. We went to the island last year & it's fine if you just tell them that! HTH Rob.

Lucky you Pam, my Masterace (same body) gets to the IOW as often as possible and, no problems on Red Funnel ferries to the IOW and car rates apply. Body size is 4.36m long, 1.68 Wide (ex mirrors) and 1.99m high

Hi i live on IOW and the ferries are all used to ACES, and they are a normal car the only one that has a height prob with the deck up is Lymington but they are well versed in seeing aces as there are lots of them over here but you will find the roads rough so expect to bounce
