can any one suggest pt number for this as local dealers have never heard of a 2c-t engine so cannot find sender unit no temp gauge im a bit weary

From the CD,the water temperature sender, part No is 83420-20020. This is for vehicles (Townace ?) produced between 1988 and 1992. If you are installing a new sender (Toyota), I should think it would be as cheap to install a supplementary Durite gauge & sender and get a gauge that really tells you something

Yes Laurence I can.
Its mounted on the cylinder head, under the inlet manifold, and if my memory serves me correctly its under the 3rd port from the front.
