I've got a 1987 lite ace van 1500 petrol having read this site it appears that overheating is a problem with all models,I've replaced the cyl head,radiator waterpump etc but its still overheating does anybody have a
replacement engine going cheap?

Mike, I have a similar problem. Got a 2 Litre Turbo Diesel that 'died' recently up in Glasgow and have since taken to garages (including one Toyota garage) and both are very wary even to give me a firm estimate. AA man believed cylinder head had 'gone' and based on that info, both garages have quoted 15hrs plus for labour and approx. 700 quid in parts (but can't tell me what parts they need or part nos.!!) Total bill quoted is approx. 2000 quid and they don't seem to know what is wrong with it.

So, similar to Mike's request, can anyone advise where to get a re-con engine (been hunting for Nipponautospares website noted in an earlier meesage without any success). Otherwise, can anyone suggest a suitable garage in the Glasgow area that could help?
