My 1990 Hiace Super Custom Station wagon does not have the right number of hole or captive nuts, indeed it seems to have none! for a standard witter towbar or any derivitive, does anyone know of a work around or a company that can supply one.

Imports are known for not having the correct drillings for a standard drawbar. All the suppliers Witter, Towsure, Bosal etc make for the same mountings.
Watling Engineers (www.tow-bars.co.uk) are a good bet- they make a number of different versions for townies, if they don't have a design for the Hiace import, they'll soon produce one!

I recently bought a towbar and I am attempting to fit it myself to save money. Can anyone offer any info to help me?
Incidentally, I bought my towbar for £99 inc VAt from Bullivant Garages in Derby. This was the most reasonable price I found - almost half the price of Watling. I think they do other parts too.

If it's the correct towbar, it'll fit straight on. Shouldn't need too much help... Offer it up, remove any towing eyes that obstruct if necessary, drill any required holes, bolt on!
