can anyone tell me where i can get second-hand parts for my townie royal lounge , also anyone who does servicing & repairs in or near preston lancs . where can i get manuals & how can i stop the annoying squeaking from under the vehicle which greets me at every little stone,bump,camber & and movement of my bus , it sounds like it is possibly engine mount rubbers or bushes

i know a garage in taleton that has done work on townies. can't vouch for him as i do my own work but you could givehim a try.
it is tower garage on hesketh lane, behind shell garage.

Hi

I know a garage in South Wales, called PartMart and it has a Townie for sale for £1,800. It has been there for months. It is F reg. It is an insurance write off. Maybe you would be interested for spares. It is in Pengam (near Ystradd Mynach and Blackwood). I don't know their phone number but directory enquiries will be able to help.

mine squeeked , i renewed the anti roll bar bushes and the little doughnut shaped rubbers on the rods which attach to the wishbone , cured it
mines a 2wd which is slighly diff , try holts silicon rubber bush spray it works for a while

Maybe the upper ball joint(s) need a squirt of grease.
Helmshore Lancs has been quoted as a good Townie repair garage. Don't know as I'm from down South.

Hi fellow townacers,
anybody know where i can get a recon or second hand alternator for my townace. The engine is a 2C-T. Also is ther an easier access to the alternator than taking out seats and floor
