Does anyone know where I can obtain a wiper arm for my '91 townie Super Extra. I have been quoted £65 new £25 2nd hand from BBC Spares. Just wondering whether this was about the right sort of price or a bit on the steep side. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Tony,
If you look further down the main page, you'll see an entry from "DAVETHEMUSICMAN" titled "Wiper Blades". Or simply change the number in the address window to 2206.

2206 is for wiper blades. I think Tony is after the arm from wiper spindle to blade?
There was a mention of some from Cyprus but can't find it.
You could always try a local spares shop/Blur Print spares?

Quite correct, the arms are on a message marked the same and is number 2103.

Mark.
"Or simply change the number in the address
window to 2206."
With computers I am always wary of an instruction which contains the word "simply" :-)
Could you elaborate please on this method of "jumping" to a list entry. It's obviously my aged and addled brain but, where is the address window to which you refer ? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

Sorry John,
If you are using Internet Explorer to view the web you may have somewhere at the top of the page a line that has the word address followed by an area you can type in that begins "http://www..........etc".
If you are usng Internet Explorer but can't see this then click on "view" and highlight "toolbars" from the drop down menu. You should now see a list of toolbars that are available to you. By clicking on the "address" option the address line I am referring to should be visible. The number at the end of the address line is the one I am on about, mine at the moment reads 2514. I'm not sure whether this will go up with this additional posting or whether that number is the original posting.

Thanks Mark, all is now revealed and, apart from gaining all that Townace knowledge, via these columns, I have now learned a little more about my computer.

I've recently bought an H reg Townace. All wonderful except LHS wiper not working. I need to check the mechanism. How do you remove the minimum of dash to view it. Also in the diagram of the mechanism on this site do the numbers on the diag relate to UK available parts? Thanks for your help.

there ain't no minimum way of removing the dash- the whole plastic assy neds to come out, probably followed by the steel frame behind it. Most of the fittings are self- evident once you have the glovebox, instruments, and switches out...
