(Home) Flasher signal lamps

I have been trying to get data on turn signal flashers, specifically for a 1999 Saturn car sold in the USA. Have checked Wagner and Signalstat, two predominant makers of these flasher units, to no avail.
In particular, have been attempting to prove that if the (front) signal lamp is out or missing, the other (rear) will not flash, but will light.

Can anyone help me?

Not sure what you are attempting to prove here Mel and why. Either way if there is a faulty indicator light you need to fix it.

...what Ian says...
but also, in European flasher units, it would be normal for the working bulb to flash at double speed to indicaste bulb failure

Mel, you don’t say where in the world you are?
Assuming you are in the UK, and your American car uses the rear tail light, and break light cluster as the rear indicator, finding a UK auto electrician who understands the flasher circuit is going to be a trial.

try www.americanautosdirectory.co.uk they may list the flasher unit you need, or an auto electrician near you.
good luck
