(Home) Height for parking

Hi. Could anyone tell me how high my Townie is, please? It has no sunroofs (or moonroofs) and is a bit taller than a lot that have these rooves. My main question is, "Will it get into a Multi-Storey car park?" Thanks, Jo

You want a height limit of 6ft 6ins or greater, about the same as a Land Rover Discovery, any less could be dodgy. However, if yours has no moonrooves or skylights, this usually means they are a low roof version, which is around 4 ins lower, I can't say I've seen a high roof without any of the roof apertures, but there's always a first time for anything on these vehicles, if you give me your code I can check the low or high roof spec for you & this should give us a rough height for you to look out for on those MAX HEADROOM signs (does anybody remember that computer generated by the same name) HTH regards Rob.

Hi

Thanks for your message. I did e-mail you direct with a photo of my Townie. I did this as I felt a bit stupid not knowing what you meant by "code". What are both of you on about when you talk of the computer (or am I too young)???? Confused - Jo

Max made it all the way over here too (Western Australia), but of course we tend to get these things a while after you, so I am sure I am not as old as you guys!!!!!!!!

Wasn't his name Max Headroom 2.78m or something like that? That was the last thing he remebered before waking up in the computer!

(Absolutely no comment about roof heights etc........)

Dave (from WA)

By the way, I have been talking on the Aussie site for Toyota hilux Surfs (nothing for Ace owners over here) and they have christenedmy 1990 4X4 the 'Pregnant Surf' (Preggy Surf for short).

A bit silly, but a good description I thought!

Hi

Just to let you know that I parked in an NCP car park marked 6'8 in Cardiff with no probs. Jo
