My 1990 townace RL has a problem on c/locking. door switch unlocks OK but locking gives a good positive click on the control box miniature relay under steering wheel, but nothing else happens. Does anyone know if these relays in the control pcb operate the locking/unlocking mechanism directly or does it pass voltage to a larger relay somewhere else which then acts on the lock. The control box relays are inaccessible for cleaning contacts etc. Anybody understand the electrics for the c/locking system? Any help on this gratefully received!

yes mine was the same when i gort it i changed the relay on the pcb and they all work now if you can't get the same relay open the top with a sharp knife and try to clean the contacts

Did as you suggested and cut the tops off all 3 relays. Increased the tension a bit on the spring contacts so the contacted harder when fired and BINGO locking works now. Thx again.

can anyone help me trhe battery has run out on my key fob and now i've replaced it and the central locking and the alarm won't switch off
