(Home) Repairer/breaker, Isle of wight

I moved over to Shanklin, IOW a nearly two years ago with my Masterace. I know there is Phil on the Island and I wondered if anyone else would like to make themselves known including their general locations. The island seems to be flooded with Townaces etc but I have not yet found a garage which I feel comfortable in being familiar with Townaces - can anyone recommend one? For parts I tend to use Wight Motors in Sandown which seems to have all the information at their fingertips including the RM025E manual. Can anyone recommend a breakers? Cliftongrade at Northwood say they don't have any Townaces and suggested I could try a breakers in Rookley.

Hi Peter,

I don't live on the Island, but close by in Gosport, e-mail me & I'll give you details.

Tony.

Hi Tony
Thanks for your response.
I don't need details. I was just interested to see how many townies owners on the island were aware of this website and to solicit locally useful information.
Regards

Its a bit out of your way but there is a garage in Havant that specialises in Townaces and Jap imports.

The garage is called Harrington Autos and on first appearances you'd think what on earth have I done to book my car here but I can honestly say they know what they are doing.

Labour charges are reasonable and so are parts. They are also pretty gen'd up on the niggly quirks these motors tend to get.

I have had a lot of work done by them on mine.

Brakes Pads and Discs (Front)
Rears checked and adjusted (also Handbrake)
Filter change + Anti Freeze
Timing Belt
Front and Rear Support Bushes
MOT

Total £500 including parts and labour and VAT.

They are in the Yellow Pages under Garages.
