This looks handy if you have one of these -

Chris,

Please, help clarify
3Y and 3Y-C, or you meant "3Y-E" (the EFI version)? also, any chance it might cover the YR30 series? I am desperate to get a manual that covers my 89 2.0L EFI 4WD Townace Super Extra. If the above is positive, I guess it's a sure purchase for me.

Thanks in advance,
Manecas

Manecas

the manuals quoted are only for the engines. They won't cover anything else on your vehicle. The manual I have covers 1Y up to 4Y with variations of each but only "E" on the 4Y. This was published in 1985 and may be too old to include your 3Y-E.

However, most of the data is relevant. It's inlikely you will get a perfect match for your vehicle so like the rest of us you will have to mix and match from various manuals to try and cover the various areas of the Townace.

Ian,

Thanks for the prompt clarification. BTW, judging by the value of information contained in the scanned EFI section you kindly emailed me, I am not sure I'd hesitate to break in and rob a bank, if there was the slightest chance of getting the full thing there. I hear of a CD for the C series, any information there might be one for the Y series?

Hope your holiday was excellent,
Thanks

stephanie,

a new post would help your cause. re
"is there even suppose to be a light there? i have already changed the fuses" most certainly yes. all dashboards have a few bulbs behind, and you notice them dying by getting dark portions on the dash. a "no light at all" may also result from a broken/stripped wire, so, my humble suggestion is "get someone to disassemble the dash and trace the fault".

I own a 1988 Toyota Towne Ace, Super Extra. And I would like to put the second row of seats in a different position. Instead of having the seats face toward the front of the car, I would like them to face toward the third row of seats. I have an owners maunal but it is in all japanese. I tried before to re arrange the seats and I think there is something I'm not doing that I'm supposed to. The seats should slide all the way back right?? Mine doesn't there is like a lil space in back of the seats causing there to be not enough leg room. Can anyone help me please???
