(Home) Drivers window

recently whilst ordering a luvly big mac at my local drive through my window popped out of place and went AWOL, all over the shop causing the big macstress much hilarity. Does anyone know an easy way of popping it back in, or how to take the door panel off without damaging anything as I am a not the best at fiddly work. Any replies would be grateful as I am suffering with having to now get out of the bus to feed my mac addiction, and this ust won't do.

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,
had the same problem after some smartarse put a brick through the window to rob me.
Door panel lifts off, but first you have to remove the screws holding ashtray and door catch. There are then press studs to ease out with a screw driver.

This gives access to the area the window sits.
The window is fixed in a metal frame with a screw hole each end. This matches up to the frame in the door interior.
If I remember right there are 2 little nylon cups that move freely in a metal runner to allow the window to go up and down.
It can be abit fiddly!!

Hi,
Can someone give any ideas on a problem that
has only appeared on a townace super extra,
since last winter. I'm talking about an apparent leak
from the fuel pump, when the engine is cold.
I recently put it in for a fix, with the only
diesel people here in Cheltenham. The invoice suggests that they have replaced the cold start assembly, and fitted some or all, of a Denso seal kit. After this work, sadly it is still leaking but perhaps not quite as much. The garage are telling me that the only remedy is a new pump. The mileage recorder is at about 103,000 km. What are your thoughts on this?

my thoughts are that if they fitted some of the seal kit, they should've fitted it all- throttle shaft, top cover, front and rear timing covers, and cold start unit. If one is iffy, they'll all be as bad...

Only if the front shaft seal or distributive head seal need replaced does the pump have to come out and be stripped, and they allegedly give little trouble.
