Hello this is my first post.
I am considering buying a G reg Royal Lounge which is in the new shape body however, I was not aware that the new shape was available for this year. Can any one confirm?

this site has been a valuable asset in my quet to become a Townie owner.

new shape was introduced in '92. Dunno what a "G" plate is, but why would it be related to the age of the (imported) townie?

Plate older than vehicle is allowed. Should ne a J or K. Check the registration for date of manufacture!

Thanks for the information.
I decided to give this one a wide berth as when my wife phoned the seller posing as a different buyer he told her a completly different story as to reasons for selling and vehicle history.
I have now brought another Royal lounge 2.0ltr 4WD fom an established dealer. It just been imported with 67k on the clock wich seems to tally up with the condition of the engine (spotless) and overall vehicle condition it is also the new shape and on a J plate. Ok it has cost me more but i feel more comfortable buying this one. should have it within the week after registration.
I have spent many hours studying this site and Ace answers and finally my quest to become a townie owner is over.
All i hope is that i don't get to many problems with my new vehicle.
