Hi, me and my Hubby are thinking of buying an Estima/Lucida, but as we're not mechanically minded, could anyone give advice on what to watch for when buying please? We've always felt sceptical about the import market,but with a closer look we can see why they're popular.What are the pitfalls,(eg turbo,a/c, spares, finding a competant mechanic etc......) and should we be OK paying around 5k, as seems to be the forecourt price? we've looked at modern MPV's and they just haven't quite fitted the bill for us yet! Help!

Hi Carri We have Just changed to a lucida from a townace. We spent a month looking at different vehicals around the north west and settled on a m reg lucida 4wd with all the toys. just take your time looking at the cars in general as every picture tells a tail if you know what i meen. You can find most spares even toyota dealers are a bit more helpful these days if you quote chasis and modle number from the vin plate they can get the parts for you also surf the net for breakers etc. good luck

Dear all!

Where can I order a rubber bushing/damper for the connection between the A/C and engine. It's begun to go bad and when at idle the pipes make a rattling noise. Unfortunately, I live in Indonesia and the local Toyota dealership doesn't service Estima Lucida's which are not imported much here. I got mine over the internet. The dealership lacked a parts number book and so wouldn't help me in getting the piece ordered. Help!

hi there,i am looking for the tail end of the exhaust system for Estima Lucida,but cannot seem to find it at any of the local breakers. i have tried the dealers but the price is a bit steap. does anyone know where i can get this part?thank you
