(Home) Liteace exhaust manifold

Hi all, been moving house, retiring (at 40! Yayyy!) and generally busy.

A friend needs a new exhaust manifold for her '90 Liteace. Does anybody know what it's likely to cost, source for one etc. She hasn't got much money so is concerned over how much it might be. Has anybody had to get one, and are breakers any good or will she need a brand new one?

Any comments welcome, thanks.

petrol or diesel? and why- cracked/ warped, rusted through?
Warped can be ground, cracked can be welded...
s/h for preference, new could be three fortunes.

Hi again Dave. Guess what? I'm moving to Ireland! Tuamgraney in Co Clare (by Lough Derg). We'll have to meet up sometime. Didn't you get a Suzuki Viagra or something? Still got the Townie?

Answers - diesel, don't know (she only said it needed replacing, may be rusted).

doubtful it's rusted. Get her to check out the repair options- cheap!

Lough Derg? Nice part of the country. Nice place to retire to (envious...)

No, no townie. I've seen it for sale at a local dealers tho. Just got the Vitara...

Hi Steve

I bought mine with a cracked manifold (5 places) 3 years ago. Was warned off a secondhand one due to the many variants and also it's apparently difficult to spot hairline cracks. So new cost me £280 shipped VOR from Japan.
