I went to my local Toyota Dealer here in Dorset
And he couldn't help me with a wiring diagram that's why I wondered if anybody could help me
Many Thanks, brilliant site by the way!

One block is speaker connections the other for the car loom. Any good parts shop should be able to supply a converter to modern single block units.
If not it is a case of careful use of a multi meter, remember one of those is a constant live!

Andy

I've mailed you a copy of the wiring diagram. Hope it helps.

The plugs for the stereo leads are missing.
Does the plug for the loom have four wires?
ie

Red with black marks.
Yellow with brown marks.
White with brown marks.
Black with brown marks.
Without the proper plugs on where do I connect these wires.
Please let me know.

Still no luck with the damn stereo wires, went to see local Dealer, got talking about Spacecruisers,he said that he used to own one about a month ago, reason he got rid of it power steering pump went, he said would cost him (Trade price £600),normal retail ?...
Hope our's never goes wrong, just like to say a big thank-you to so many people who are trying to help me get the stereo wiring sorted out when we bought it we noticed the stereo didn't work, took it out, found the plugs were cut off, that's the reason why i haven't had any luck!
If anybody know's of any other info to to do with the
stereo problem, I would very much appreciate it
Many Thanks

On Ace Answers under- Dashboard and electrics - Radio, TV etc - Radio wiring. There is a tread with a link to the install Doctor. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyota-Wiring.pdf

This is a PDF file so you will need adobe acrobat reader. If you don’t have it, its available from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/
I found this very useful when I fitted a new stereo with cd multi changer last year, as it shows the connectors and the standard wiring colour coding against the colours used by Toyota.

Hope that helps

Andy. I tried to respond to your email, but is was bounced back.
the answer is no, I kept the original wiring and got an adapter from Halfords. If you take your new and old stereo to your local branch, they should find an
adaptor to convert it.

Hope that helps

I know its a silly thing to be wanting to sort, only 2 days into owning a Townace, but I am already in deep smit, and want to get curtains back into the back to make use as a campervan. I would imagine that its nigh on impossible, but is there anyone out there who is ripping them out? Or a place that will do the metal work? Cant wait to tear around my native westcountry but we wouldn't mind the privacy!!!

Hi and many thanks to everybody who helped me with their valuable advice especially you Clive, Ian Dunse,Dave Bright. As you know I had trouble with wires being cut of behind stereo. I have now acquired
a new set of wires and plugs and now have a decent system in The Cruiser. Very well done on a more than excellent site, and I will be back many more times I'm sure in the future. Keep up the good work!
Cheers
