to Dave Mason
Thanks for your reply re-blower fuses. The actual problem was the relay resistor which had come loose.

i have a smoke problem when i apply the power, i've had all the aircleaner assy off and cleaned all the pipework and noticed a fair amount of oil sitting in then section that runs to the turbo. is there a drain off point or does this oil actually enter the turbo unit for lubrication?. i dont have any blue smoke or white. any suggestions?

oil in the inlet is pretty normal, a small amount gets past the turbo seals and some condenses out of the crankase vent gases.

If your smoke is black rather than blue it's a fueling issue, and I'd start by ensuring that air and fuel filters are clean, and running a dose of injector cleaner. After that it could be timing, pump needing set up, duff injectors etc...
