(Home) New owner new driver help

ok just got a 1990 townace - as a new driver (who knows nothing about mechanics) I now relise i know nothing! - this sites a great help but a couple of things couldnt find out -
I assume I have to check oil from time to time where do I find it on this vehicle! - theres a cap to the right of the stearing wheel - I assume for windscreen washer. Also where do i check water levels - sorry for the naievety of my questions - I feel such a newbie!

Hurray, someone who knows less than me!!!!! Anyway, DON'T put windscreen washer in that cap by the steering wheel, cos that is for your brake fluid. The oil and water have to be checked very regualarly and you find them under the front passenger seat. You need to be shown or look at pictures cos I can't explain by writing. I did not give my e-mail address here, as this strongly sounds like some sort of a joke - sorry. i was feeling quite down today until i read your messages ,, i had a really good chukle,, gosh i thought i had problems..
cap to the right of s.wheel is brake fluid ,, water for screen is at the back,, lift tail gatye and look above lights r.h.side ,, lift passenger seat ,,,, and heh presto one engine,,, have a nice time ,, keep that water level were it should be,

You will soon get used to doing basic checks. Something that every motorist should do anyway!
