(Home) Fuse removal

Anybody out there in townielandever had to extract the biggest 2 fuses in the small fusebox behind/under the drivers seat ˆ I‚ve blown the 80 amp (black)one that protects the window circuit and its really hot n humid here in usually rainy Bristol UK! I‚ve been using the aircon but I‚ve just got to sort it out. The two smaller fuses to the left come out really easily, but the two on the right just wont budge- any ideas?
Also if anybody has a spare fuse nocking about I'd be most greatful if you could mail me back
Kind regards,
Dan Delor

there's a screw top and bottom. Have to unbolt the housing first.
Your local factor will stock the fuses. Ask for maxifuses or plug-in fusible links

Yes they do come out like David says but it's not obvious at first. Try not to lose your temper and take a pair of pliers to it (like I did), the plastic is brittle and can easily break. I got my replacement second hand for a fiver, factors wanted £12 each! Shop around or better still try a breakers, they are pretty universal.
