(Home) Electric window failure (Sp+)

Sorry to post a message here but I am having trouble accessing the Space Cruiser archive. Near side front window power has failed. Fine in the current weather but its going to rain soon.... Moon roof and drivers side window still work so I assume the circuit braker is not at fault. Is there a way to manually close the window until I can find a new motor for it?

PS Still a great site. This is my first mesage since the old cruiser site went down.

I Assume that you have chacked that power is getting to the winder motor? And that the drivers lock is not on?
Remove the door trim and vapor sheet. You can see the winder gear and be able to get a socket on the drive wheel.
If it is the motor most Toyota ones should fit a visit to a breakers with the old one will get a best fit.

Clive. Thank you for your prompt reply. After taking the door panel off and generally fiddling with everything guess what.......the power lock was on!! Am I a plonker or what? I think what with the heat and my age and the alcohol etc etc I've lost it. Advice much appreciated anyway - I don't think I would have discovered the problem quickly without your reply. Thanks again. Phil Pearce
