i wonder if any of you now why my spacecruiser misfires. i dosnt do it when accelerating only when holding a speed. The carb has been cleaned and new leads, plugs, distributor cap and arm.

It could be any number of things Darren. You say the plugs, leads, cap and arm have been replaced but have they been fitted correctly? Other possibilities are blown head gasket, burnt valve or valve seat, engine tune, coil, weak mixture, rich mixture, overheating, manifold air leak, exhaust,... and the list goes on and on. I suggest you get a engine diagnostic test and tune up. Should find the fault with that. hth.

Had the exact same on my old Spacecruiser. Faulty distributor, well I say faulty it was due to moisture so a good blow with a hair drier cured it. It was only found with the help of a Sun Tune as suggested!
