You can get a kit for this for less than twenty quid from Halfords and their ilk. The only size I could get was enough to cover two windows. Not sure if there's any bigger sizes available. Hope that's some help.

There are stick on films that look as mess if you get it wrong (air bubbles), a mesh that works on you can see out but not in easy to fit and remove but not total black out, spray on (paint?) type or you could get a professional custom fit, try yellow pages.

i hab my windows blacked out (tinted) by national windscreens in sunderland cost £250 beautiful job.
I did try the halfords film but it was a bugger to put on and was a real mess so i stripped it and left the job to the experts

have done windows in the past with the film. it sticks like muck to a blanket, but if you spray windows and film as you peel it with soapy water it makes job much easier. it needs lots of water, and i mean running off window, but as you push air out with a cloth , or better a squeegee, the water comes out and it sticks.

I have tinted film to sides and a mesh to the rear screen.
Ideally I would like to remove the mesh and replace with film as there is no way of cleaning it - the question being - how do you get this mesh stuff off without damaging the heating elements?

A word of warning to any one who has black out windows or any one thinking about black out windows. I am a Policeman and I feel that I should warn owner/drivers of vehicles that it is a potential hazzard when driving if the vehicle has black out windows. Vision can be cut by as much as 90 percent at night. I recommend that if you must have black out windows that only the rear passenger compatment windows are blacked out leaving the rear screen and front drivers and passengers windows clear. It is an offence to tint the front screen beyond the manufactures specification.

Any one who tell you that Halfords tinting film is easy to apply must be out of his mind,
I have tried both types the £12 a roll as well as £45 a roll.
Its ok with a straight glass try it on a courved glass and you will know what I mean no amount of water will work here.
My advice don't waste your money on tinting film Halfords or not Halfords.
Leave the work to professionals and if you wish to do it yourself then SPRAY the tint.
