(Home) Noise when turning

For instance, if i come down from a curb or sometimes when hard turning , there is a clunk noise. When i bought it i was told it was the 4x4 springs. anyone else had this?
i cant say i have noticed a problem though.

Ball joint?

If the clunk only occurs when on full lock it is mosk likely the steering limit bolts making the noise due to the caps missing/ worn out on them. Very common. Easily replaced.

Sorry forgot the 4X4 limit bolts. See AceAnswers blob of grease or new plastic covers.
However if it makes a noise when you are not hard turning I'd still check the ball joints, greased them recently?

I get a clonk front near side is where it sounds like its coming from, it happens when I brake. It may only do it a couple of times but never goes on for long and then I may not get it for months. I've had it since I got my townie over 3 years ago.

I have also experienced this problem and found it was the plastic caps on the turn limit bolts were missing, replaced them with new ones from toyota(only about 2.50 each) and noise went. That was about two years ago now and it has just started to clunk again on full lock so will be changing again soon.
