Can anybody help me? The head on my '92 Townie is officially dead. I have been quoted £500 for a recon head by bbcspares. is this a reasonable price if not where else can I get one. Could someone either reply to this site or email me direct as soon as possible, my wife needs the car back asap so she can go to work (she works away)

The second question is does anyone know where I can pick up a light and windscreen cluster for my other Townie(89) model if this helps the connectors are as follows there is a large blue connector and a square white connector (on later models the white connector is rectangular) there is a set of numbers on the cluster and are as follows A23....84310-28280.

If anyone can help me with these points I would be very grateful.

Marc. Have you looked in Ace Answers? Under "Engine" then "Head/Gasket" there are a number of entries advising on head replacemnet/recon etc
