hello all, possible problem brewing, townace 4x4 auto. missfire upon start up with warm engine, after being stood for half hour or so. rev engine and missfire goes, with quite a lot of smoke (un burnt diesel smell).drives ok with little smoke. i have a horrible feeling that coolant may be seeping into one of bores,or could it be a leaking injector ??? any thoughts appreciated.

if you had coolant leaking into bores you would have the missfire all time..

on start up... and then when hot...goes away
sounds like injectors..or... the heater isnt working on them and its not hot enuf for the engion to burn..
anyways... dont mess with it. it could make it ten times worse.. take it to garage.. someone u can trust cus not many know bout diesels... and have them listen.. its free to listen.. lol..

they might b able to give u an idea or call the dealer... ask to talk to a mechanic... ask him if he's heard of that problem b4... if its common he will b able to tell u waht it is. dont b scared to phone and pick brains... they are always willing to help cus they are hoping u take it to them for repair....
