Can anyone advise what grade of oil to use in the transfer case on an Estima Emina (Lucida) 4WD? I've had a look on AA but I can only see reference to the Townie (the Estima uses a transfer case with a LS Diff). Thanks.

I can't help with the diff oil, but I do have question.
Does the estima 4X4 have a locking centre diff, and is dual range at least an option, even if it is not standard?
I can't seem to find out anywhere, and the Estima site seems to be down now.
Just interested.
Dave.

Hi Dave
No, the Estima 4x4 is single ratio only, permanent 4wd with a centre limited slip differential. Care should be taken when towing, and the vehicle should never be towed with only 2 wheels on the road (it will burn out the centre LS diff clutch).

Thanks for that.
If it was dual and lockable it would be a contender for a lift and off-road use, but I guess not.
I was keeping the MasterAce Surf for a while longer yet anyway!
Dave.
