I have just been reading ace answers and found a long and drawn out set of problems with Toyota keys. I bought my surf Ace 2 years ago ( what great move even with the dreadful IOW roads) and one of the first things I fitted was an Alarm from Halfords with Two remotes, door central locking remote and passive pickups after a bit of a game with the wiring for the central locking colour codes(found under the dash) all worked fine and has done ever since, the only time I use the key is in the ignition. Long live the Surf Ace.
