(Home) Filter price

I have a 2.4 td 1990 hiace super custom, i have read in ace answers you can get realisticaly priced filters, oil air and fuel filters from a place named "Foreign import parts" can any one give me the phone number please, I have looked in aceanswers arcives but cant find the number. Brian Squire original posted the ref 9 jul 2003.
Do you need to bleed the fuel system when you change the filter, if so how

If you get the part numbers from toyota and phone your local motor factors they can cross ref. with their products (fram etc.) - you may be suprised at the prices - then again sometimes some toyota products can be less than you thought

bleeding fuel - fill new filter with deisel - then pump the black plunger on the fuel filter casing - if the plunger doesnt work you can just turn the starter and it should suck through

Hi dave
Foriegn auto parts number is in ace answers. I found it there and the savings were tremendous, two fuel two oil one air filter and a cam belt, £45.90 including delivery. Try beating that from your local motor factors. Just ask for Andy, all he needs is your vehicle details
regards
Brian

I live in Bristol and have used the counter service at FAS. Impressed with matching of parts to VIN no.
Not impressed with some of the prices that can be easily beaten with a bit of shopping around.
For a one stop (mail order) purchase I think it is ideal.
For a tight wad like me I shop around. I can get a fuel filter for a 2CT for almost half the price from my local, Patchway Autoparts, motoring shop. The oil filter is cheaper from FAS but no brand name so not sure of the quality and the airfilter was £2 more.
For those of you in Bristol Patchway Autoparts stock a range for imports, one of the staff has an Estima himself.
