Can someone assist please. I have a 1982 Royal Lounge and the rear courtesy light seems to have me baffled. If I have the 3 position switch in the door position, the interior light will operate if I open the Tail Gate, but if I open the side door "Nothing" I have found the little rubber cover for the swith but can see no way of getting to it without taking the door off, is the correct. The step light does not work either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the rubber boot and the retaining screw for the switch is underneath.Check the bulb and its holder in the footwell.The footwell light and the rear centre light work off that switch.
