(Home) Converting alternator from external regulator to internal, glow plug timer connection

My alternator and regulator packed in on Masterace 1990 model so had the alternator converted from external to internal regulator(cost 65 Euro) chopped into the battery charge wire on the instrument panel and removed the old regulator, every thing worked except timer for heat plugs, found there is a input from regulator to heat plug timer. So for anybody who converts you need to run the charge light wire from the alt/regulator to the charge light on the instrument panel and also to the regulator plug (thick white on my model)This wire runs to the heat plug timer(located in B door pillar). This wire to the timer supplies ground to a high impedance input on the timer enabling it to switch on and when the voltage is up to 12 volts disables the timer.
