just discovered you excellent site.

My Townace Royal Lounge 1983 (2Y motor) has occasional patches of intermittent power loss, usually at open road speeds, almost like someone is playing jerkily with the hand brake. It has a catalytic convertor and I suspect that somewhere in the myriad of plumbing around the carb there is something dodgy.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the fuel filter, may be lack of fuel at high speed?
I assume all is well at lower speeds.
