(Home) Exhaust manifold gasket

can any one tell me the routine to replacing a exhaust manifold gasket. i got a new gasket with in 4 hours which i am very pleased any one wanting to know where i got it e-mail me it cost less than £10.00

Floor out,Air ducts off the turbo, heatshields off, remove turbo to manifold nuts, manifold to head nuts and bolts, downpipe nuts, and turbo bracket beside oil filter. Should just about wiggle out then.

caveats:

you'll definitely need an "S" or crescent spanner for the mani- turbo nuts, 12 and or 14mm

and you'll probably find the manifold is banana shaped when it comes off. That's the actual problem, and a session of rubbing on a flat stone or concrete surface or deft use of a grinder will sort it out :)

could anyone please tell me the torque pressure for tightening the exhaust manifold after installing a new gasket

Alan. From the ever helpful and indispensable engine manual, part no RMO25E, the torque figures for the exhaust manifold bolts are :- 475 kg-cm or 34 ft lb or 47 N.m
