Should my Townace (92 model from memory) have a warning beeper for when the lights are left on with the ignition on? It has a "gong" that sounds if the key is left in the ignition when the door is opened, but nothing for the headlights, so it appears either a beeper doesn't exist or mine is faulty?.

Yes. I get a continuous beep if I ('91 Royal Lounge 2CT) open the door with the lights on and "ignition" off, but I don't think a gong just for key left in. There are so many combinations, it's had to remember, which may be why replies are slow.

check the alarm box to see wether it is connected,
its located approx above the accelerator pedal.

If it's a Royal Lounge then I think it will have a lights on warning, if it's a Super Extra or below then it won't , dead easy to wire one in though.

Thanks Rob, I eventually did come to the conclusion that it can't have had one, so fitted my own.
