just bought a very clean imported G reg townace, on returning from London yesterday i noticed the hot air blower went cold and there was water bubbling out of the rubber tube coming from the water bottle.

Any idea what this could be, i have bought a new thermostat under recommendation, could it be this and where is the thermostat?

I think bad news...
Overheating causes the water to bubble out - no hot air means no water getting to the heater matrix.
If you bought from a dealer get them to sort it.
May be as simple as no antifreeze/duff rad cap/burst pipe or major rad problems or at worse blown head gasket. All covered on Ace Answers Archives.
Thermostat housed in in bottom hose to block housing.
