(Home) 2CT & 3CT heads same?

I going to strip my engine down in the next few days my local garage is letting me use his facilities, He has just bought a Lucida with a siezed engine & replaced it with a secondhand item, I would like to know whether the head is the same on the 2ct & 3ct in case mine is cracked or beyond repair he says I can have his from the Lucida?

Can't give a definitive answer, as I have been fortunate enough not to have had to change the head on either a 2CT or 3CT engine, but as I understand it they are interchangeable, as it is the stroke, not the bore that is increased to give the 2.2 litre as opposed to the 2.0 litre. However the Lucida installation differs from the Townie, as the Lucida has the engine on it's side under the floor, Townie is of course upright between seats. As I understand it the Lucida head might be different as some ancillaries are run differently due to position.

There are definited differences between the position of ancillaries between the engines, but how much the head affects these I am not sure either.
The other thing to consider is that the 3CT is electronically injected, whereas most 2CT are mechanical. This may cause some differences, but I'm not sure.
I guess if you have to change the head, then have a really good look while it's off - it may be easy to adjust things for the ancillaries?
