I purchased a Toyota Lite Ace vehicle imported from Japan. The vehicle has a fitted radio (standard with the vehicle) and a CD player(model No.08601-00170 Matsusnita) standard from another Lite Ace. The problem is that the radio and CD player fit together in the same bracket but have diferent plugs. Please can anyone suggest somehing or let me have a wiring diagram for the Cd player or the radio.

I am not sure if this is relevant, but in my old Tarago (Aussie Spacecruiser) the Tape deck and radio were separate units, mounted in a dual bracket.
The radio plugged into the back of the tape deck, then the tape deck plugged into the power (or it may be other way around).

There was only one plug that mated to the wiring in the car, the other was only for a connector from one unit to the other.

The could explain the different plugs - or they could just be different!

Anyone know anything more.

Similar setup on the Townace and my imported MR2. I had hoped to swap units around between the two setups but the plugs that piggy-back from one unit to the other are different despite both vehicles being of a similar age. I know it seems a shame but you'll probably have to junk it and by something new.
