The panel is available as a replacement, don't know how much. Fair bit of work involved to replace it.
If the rest of the Speccy is ok then may be worth the investment, if you have the ability cut the rust out and fix a a plate (alloy?) over the hole or right accross, otherwise fibre glass and filler, and a good coat of paint every other year.

Thanks for that Clive. Perhaps you can help on my latest prob?

Hi - I had the same prob with my Spacecruiser and I did what Clive said. I pulled out the rusty bits, put a metal gauze thingy over the hole and filled it with the filler I bought in Halfords. I rubbed it down (as best as I could) and went over it again (when it was dry). Then I undercoat painted, then used black paint (also from Halfords). I had two big holes under my windscreen, but, because the rest of the body was very bad with rust, I didn't think it was worth a new panel. I was told they were £400.00, that's including taking the whole windscreen out. Cheaper the other way, and it didn't look to bad. It did the job and it stopped the rain getting in. Before I filled the holes, rain got in and my speedo was making buzzing noises, also moving from 30 to 90mph round bends and roundabouts, until the arm on the speedo fell off.
